HS Scheduling: Step 1 Student Course Selection ~~~~~Attention all High School Students & Families - High school students selected their course interests for next year (2016-2017). Course selections will be reviewed by teachers, counselors and administrators. Work will now begin on creating a strong master schedule and placing students based on their course requirements and interests. Draft schedules will be sent home for review by students and families before the end of the school year. The official 2016-2017 Program of Studies (course list) will be posted online in June.

This Year's Jacobs Family Scholarship recipient is Viriato Nunes Congratulations Viriato Nunes and to all the recipients of this year's Jacobs Family Scholarship. Every year, 1 GLCPS senior is chosen by the Community Foundation to receive the award which is $35,000 over 4 years of college. Viriato plans to study Earth Science.

Bristol County Savings Foundation Again Supports Music Program!! Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB), through its Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation (BCSCF), presented a grant to the Global Learning Charter Public School for $5,000. GLCPS' High School Band will use the grant to help fund their participation in the Washington D.C. Heritage Music Festival during April Vacation.

GLCPS Starts Free Weekend Jazz Program For Area Youth GLCPS was recently awarded a SerHacer grant by the Massachusetts Cultural Council to establish a regional jazz music program. SerHacer is a new initiative focused on supporting the growing number of intensive, ensemble-based music programs that use music as a vehicle for social change.
