Heather Chew; Clerk

Heather Chew is the parent of two current GLCPS students; a middle schooler and a high schooler; and, of an alumnus who is currently in college. Through the years, she has remained very active in the school community, volunteering in many capacities and offering her perspective on a variety of school-related topics. She is a staunch advocate of charter schools, participating in Charter School Advocacy Day at the Massachusetts State House. 

Professionally, Mrs. Chew is the director of the Acushnet Council on Aging where she administers daily operations of the Senior Community Center; manages the emergency shelter; seeks grant funding to address community needs; and, maintains the department budget and payroll. Mrs. Chew is an active member of the community and volunteers for the Acushnet Emergency Management Department and PACE, Inc Food Bank. She is a recipeint of the Commonwealth Heroine award.
