Happy Pride Month! Please show your support to our Rainbow Royals club members who will be representing GLCPS at AHA! Night on the evening of Thursday, June 13th. We hope you make it to this monthly downtown event celebrating the arts and the city of New Bedford.
High school finals are scheduled for this coming week. Testing will take place on June 11, 12 and 13.
We will be collecting students’ chromebooks, chargers and cases on June 13th and 14th. If anything has been lost, the cost of the charger is $20 and the case is $25. Please reach out to the technology department with any questions regarding this.
Thank you to those families who have completed the Family Survey! We still have a long way to go before we know that our survey participation is successful. Please take a few moments to tell us how we’re doing by completing this survey. Your feedback is vital in helping us to continue to best serve your children.
Do you have your summer plans in place? We think we can help. Register for the FREE GLCPS Summer Enrichment and Academic Program today!! The program runs from July 8th through July 26th. It is held Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Breakfast, lunch and transportation are provided. Don’t hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions.
Looking ahead, we will be celebrating our eighth grade students on Monday, June 17th. We wish each one of them the best whether they have decided to go to high school at GLCPS or elsewhere.
Tuesday, June 18th is the last day of school for the 2023-2024 School Year. It is an early dismissal day. We have planned a fun morning for students that includes outside activities, games and ice cream.

De cara al futuro, celebraremos a nuestros estudiantes de octavo grado el lunes 17 de junio. Deseamos a cada uno de ellos lo mejor ya sea que hayan decidido ir a la escuela secundaria en GLCPS o en otro lugar.
El martes 18 de junio es el último día de clases para el año escolar 2023-2024. Es un día de salida temprana. Hemos planeado una mañana divertida para los estudiantes que incluye actividades al aire libre, juegos y helado.
