Come meet Santa! Come purchase crafts!

Tomorrow, GLCPS will be hosting its annual Breakfast with Santa and Holiday Bazaar. All are encouraged to come to support the Global band members and join them for a pancake breakfast, accompanied by drinks and sides, from 8 to 11 am. The Holiday Bazaar showcases people's creativity, where local New Bedford community members can sell their products and artwork. The Breakfast with Santa and Holiday Bazaar both take place this Saturday, so those participating can find ease moving between the events if interested in visiting both.

The Breakfast will feature a meet and greet with Santa, and pancakes made specially by our own Mrs. Pires. Tickets are being sold at the door,:$6 for adults, and $4 for children 4-10 years old. This event is meant to support the band and chorus’ music festival and trip to Six Flags.  While the band members won't be playing this Saturday, they’ll be volunteering to make it all possible. Their help makes it possible for the school to have such events. It’s amazing how GLCPS has such strong student support for its community events!

Conveniently, just upstairs in the gym is the Holiday Bazaar which showcases artistic pieces from a number of vendors. After breakfast, if people want to pick up some new crafty pieces, they can. Last year’s crafts fair offered items such as handmade resin earrings, lamps made of bottles, and handknitted blankets. This is a great opportunity for people to showcase their talent and earn some money for their creations. This event usually accepts cash and depending on the vendor, they also accept online transactions.

Both of these events are great opportunities to celebrate the holidays with friends and family while supporting the work of others. Whether families are eating pancakes, visiting Santa, or buying a handmade creation at the bazaar, it is highly encouraged to stop by both events. This is a celebration of festivity and community, and your support is greatly appreciated.
