Qualifications: Bachelors Degree REQUIRED.
Seeking: A highly professional individual, motivated to quickly build relationships with students and alumni as they work towards their future college and career plans. Must demonstrate leadership, initiative, and an interest in program development.

The School to Career Liaison will:

A. Support Senior Programming: Support senior students' post-secondary planning with a focus on college attendance and persistence:

1) Co-lead Senior College & Career Center Seminars
2) Assist all seniors to complete applications to colleges by reviewing student applications and essays, ensuring that deadlines are met, communicating with parents and college admissions offices, etc
3) Support students' use of Naviance, including application tracking, requests for transcripts and letters of recommendation
4) Ensure that students have taken the necessary testing for their chosen college/career, including SAT’s, ACT’s, ASVAB, etc.
5) Support students' and parent/guardians' access to the resources necessary to successfully complete the FAFSA
6) Maintain and provide monthly scholarship lists and assist students with scholarship applications
7) Co-lead student/parent meeting at the beginning of 12th grade to develop/refine post-secondary goals
8) Create monthly newsletters communicating future planning tasks, events, activities, etc. to students and families, including:
- A time line for the application and financial aid process
- Dual enrollment information
- Community, college and other enrichment activities
- Financial Aid information/workshops
7) Communicate with the students and families regarding individual student's progress
8) Complete Senior Survey with the Senior Class
9) Ensure Alumni Database is updated with the graduating seniors' contact information

B. Support Alumni Future Plans (which may include travel within Massachusetts): Conduct follow-up support services and gather data for graduates including:

1) Follow-up contact (3) months after graduation (September) to assist with any transition issues and verify college/career placements
2) Follow-up contact in December/January after graduation to ensure success in placements; assist with any transition and/or career plan issues
3) Follow-up contact (1) year after graduation to ensure continued placement and success; assist with any transition and/or career plan issues
4) Assistance as requested with post-secondary issues
5) Plan bi-annual Alumni College/Career Support events and support class reunions
6) Hold monthly evening College/Career Center hours to support alumni for support and advising
7) Maintain the social media outreach for Alumni

Other duties include:

• Naviance: Main contact for students, staff, and Naviance liaison; participate in all webinars
• Dual Enrollment: Support/attend class as needed (T/TH) at Jacobs’ Center
• Coordinate the Fall College Visits at GLCPS and the Spring College Fair Visits (NACAC)
• Co-lead the Junior and Senior Mentoring Program
• Co-coordinate/Attend Senior Events: Senior Awards Night & Graduation
• Manage High School 504 and MCAS EPP documentation and meeting coordination
• Participate in community events with high school students
• Serve on GLCPS committees and attend meetings as needed
• Assist the administration with other duties as requested
• Take part in school-wide functions
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner

Bachelor's degree REQUIRED
