Don Richard joined the GLCPS staff in 2017, bringing with him a rich and varied background in music education and performance. He has taught students at the elementary, middle and high school levels in a number of school settings, including Westwood Public Schools, Tabor Academy, and Old Rochester Regional Schools.  He has played in varied ensembles, including Java Jive 32 years ago, the Tri-County Symphonic Band, Nashua Symphony, the Indian Hill Orchestra, the Dave Rasmussen Big Band, the Chris Powers Big Band, and the Boston Name Band.  Mr. Richard also serves on the board of the Tri-County Music Association.

Mr. Richard earned a Double Bachelor Degree in Music Education and Jazz Studies from UMass Lowell. Of his work, Mr. Richard says "I love working with students and helping them progress as musicians and as good people."
