Don Richard joined the GLCPS staff in 2017, bringing with him a rich and varied background in music education and performance. He has taught in a number of school settings, including Westwood Public Schools, Tabor Academy and Old Rochester Regional school system, and given private music lessons for 32 years. He has worked with students at the elementary, middle and high school levels. He is the administrative assistant for the Tri-County Music Association and manager/band member of Java Jive. He has also played in varied ensembles including the Tri-County Symphonic Band, Nashua Symphony, the Dave Rasmussen Big Band and Chris Powers Big Band. He plays several instruments including trumpet, piano and flugalhorn. 
Mr. Richard earned a double Bachelor in Music Education and Jazz Studies from UMass Lowell. Of his work, Mr. Richard says "I love working with children and helping them progress as musicians and as good people."
