Sarah Komiega joined the GLCPS team in the Fall of 2024 as the school's Social Emotional Learning Specialist to provide support to students and coach teachers on integrating SEL strategies into classroom instruction. In addition, she promotes culturally restorative practices and coordinates the Social Emotional Learning Curriculum for our High School students. 

Ms. Komiega holds a Master's degree in Psychology of Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University and a Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development from Southern New Hampshire University. Ms. Komiega has over 15 years of experience within the field of children's psychiatric health, previously working at Bradley Hospital in Rhode Island. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Komiega is an avid cyclist and is often seen volunteering for her children’s sporting events.
