Global Karate Academy Expands to Meet Demand

Two programs are now available so that more students can participate:

  • The after-school club is offered at no cost to active GLCPS students and school staff on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:25. Students enroll by completing the after school enrichment program registration process.
  • The evening program is open to all GLCPS community members for a fee. Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm. Students staying after school until 4:25 pm for enrichment or academic activities are welcome to come to the dojang to read, do homework or practice their Tang Soo Do curriculum while they wait for class to start.

GKA will not meet on any day during the school year when GLCPS is not in session, such as holidays, snow days, and parent-teacher conference days.

Tuition for the evening WTSDA program is $60 per month. For families with more than one child in the program, the fee for each additional child will be reduced to $40. Payment is due on the first week of every month. Cash or checks payable to Global Karate Academy are accepted. Full uniform is required and/or GKA logo apparel.

Periodic clinics and semi-private classes will be offered to enhance curriculum proficiency before tests and tournaments.  The expanded options are designed to improve the success of the program’s students. Parents are invited to observe the classes at any time.

Martial Arts training is a fantastic way for students to build up their fitness, awareness, sportsmanship and, their confidence. Over the years, offering Tang Soo Do at GLCPS has afforded thousands of students the opportunity to try something new, to learn self-defense, to gain self-discipline, to get out of their comfort zones, to build up stamina, perseverance and life skills, and to enhance a special quality called indomitable spirit. Global Karate Academy continues its mission of making the world a better place through training in the Art of Tang Soo Do. We are grateful to GLCPS for supporting our unique program.  We hope you join us!
