Back to School Night is also an opportunity for you to meet our teachers and staff. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn more about our new and exciting educational programs for students at GLCPS.
Additionally, we have invited several community organizations to attend our Back to School BBQ. These organizations are valuable community partners that are able to provide a variety of resources to area families and individuals. Participating organizations include:

Here is some important information to help you plan for the opening week of school:
- The building will be closed at 12 noon on Friday, August 23rd.
- The first day of school for grades 5 and 9 is Wednesday, August 28th.
- The first day of school for grades 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 is Thursday, August 29th.
- Doors open 7:55 AM for breakfast. Students must be in homeroom by 8:25 AM.
- Regular dismissal is 2:55 PM.
