Mrs. Sarah Fleurent
Sarah Fleurent has taken on the role of Dean of Students after teaching middle school science for more than a decade. She joined the GLCPS team in 2013 as a paraprofessional and became a classroom teacher in 2015. Prior to that, she worked at the Buttonwood Park Zoo as a zookeeper. Mrs. Fleurent earned a B.S. degree in Zoology from University of New Hampshire and a Master's in Teaching from American International College. In her spare time, she volunteers for the Greater New Bedford Special Olympics as a coach and sports coordinator.
As Dean of Students, Ms. Fleurent serves as a resource for teachers regarding student achievement, attendance, and behavior; communicates regularly and maintains positive relationships with GLCPS families, and assists with maintaining a safe and secure campus.
