Jocelyn Kingman

Jocelyn Kingman is a GLCPS alumna. She began her teaching career at GLCPS in 2021 as a substitute teacher and summer program instructor and is excited to start her first year as a full-time Grade 6 ELA teacher. She earned a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Literature and Criticism from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she also earned a Certificate in Women’s Leadership and the Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement.

 

Jocelyn has a long history with GLCPS, beginning as a Teacher’s Assistant during high school and later serving as a substitute teacher and summer program instructor while completing her studies. Her previous experience also includes working as an Instructional Support Liaison at Durfee High School in the Early College Program.

 

Passionate about helping students succeed, Jocelyn enjoys supporting students through academic transitions and fostering a love of learning. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Oreo, hiking, swimming, traveling (including a semester abroad in Greece), and seeking out new adventures.
