GLCPS Announces New Dean of Students, Other Staff Changes

 

pleased to announce that Sarah Fleurent has accepted the position of Dean of Students. Ms. Fleurent has taught middle school science at GLCPS for many years and is well acquainted with the student body. She succeeds Matt St. Jean who accepted a position in a school district in another state.

 

Other changes for current staff include: middle school counselor Emily LaPann taking on added responsibilities as the middle school MTSS coordinator; Aimee Correia moving from 8th grade special education teacher to high school special education teacher; Sarah Michaud moving from teaching middle school math to high school math; Taylor Grant moving from 5th grade paraprofessional to 5th grade special education teacher; former long-term substitute teacher William Pires as permanent 8th grade math teacher; and, Meaghan Lee and Kelsey Oliveira changing the middle school grades they support as paraprofessionals. 

 

We extend a warm welcome to new staff members who are joining our GLCPS team this year, including:

Paige Correira, 5th grade special education paraprofessional

Jasmine Vega, 5th grade one-on-one paraprofessional

Bre’Anna Correira, 6th grade special education paraprofessional

Raven Teixeira, 6th grade general education paraprofessional

Andrew Miller-Klugman, 7th grade science teacher

Dean Melcher, 8th grade science teacher 

Asher Schudrich, 8th grade special education teacher

Madeline Minor, special education paraprofessional

Abrah Zion, full-time building substitute teacher

Gianluca D’Ambrosio, full-time building substitute teacher

Skylar Mills, custodian

 

Finally, we wish the very best to those staff members who have served our GLCPS community and are off to new adventures: Matt St. Jean, John Goebel, Debra Mahan, Dori Maher and Serina DeAlmeida.
