Global Learning Charter Public School is one of 30 organizations nominated by staff, volunteers
and/or vendors to be selected for the distinction by Cape and Plymouth Marketing. All nominations were voted on based on criteria in team culture, hiring, training, community service, and company communication.
Organizations selected for the honor are recognized for creating positive work environments
that foster employee satisfaction and growth.
GLCPS is devoted to demonstrating appreciation for the teachers, staff, and administrators who
routinely go above and beyond for its students according to the nomination. The school highlights professional and personal accomplishments on social media, maintains an open door policy and encourages teachers to
request classroom coverage if they need a brief break. Appreciation is also woven into daily
culture through regular lotteries for classroom coverage and prime parking, as well as special
treats such as pizza, ice cream, and coffee trucks.
GLCPS strongly supports professional growth, encouraging faculty and staff to continue their
learning journeys as a model for students and a way to expand their own capabilities. Each
employee is eligible for $1,000 in annual college tuition reimbursement; in addition the school
covers up to $500 a year for professional development opportunities.
The school promotes from within and frequently considers its alumni for open positions. Many
employees pursue additional licensing to specifically advance within GLCPS.
