“We get to follow Dorothy and her friends to a magical land of discovery” says GLCPS Drama Club Director Polly Zajac. “Beyond learning about friendship and the importance of family, Dorothy learns that she has her own power, if only she can believe in herself. Our young actors and crew members have learned about friendship, and have gained a better understanding of their own strength through the process of learning, rehearsing and presenting The Wizard of Oz, Jr.”
The GLCPS cast includes Camryn Hancock as Dorothy Gale, Malachi Houtman as Scarecrow , Danny Lopes as Tin Man, Natalie Teixeira as Lion, Alex Pires as the Wizard of Oz, and Dairy Kelly as the Wicked Witch of the West. The production is under the direction of Polly Zajac.
Performances of The Wizard of Oz will be on February 6th, 7th, and 8th at 7:00 pm at 190 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door.
