Matthew St. Jean returned to GLCPS in 2025 as dean of students after previously serving the school community as a physical education teacher and coach from 2012 to 2021. He holds a Master of Science in Physical Education from Bridgewater State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with concentrations in History and Sociology from UMass Dartmouth. Mr. St. Jean brings 12 years of experience in education, including eight years at GLCPS and four years with Acushnet Public Schools. In addition to his teaching experience, he has coached volleyball, basketball, football, and soccer at both the middle and high school levels for over 13 years. He is passionate about education, lifelong fitness, and fostering a student-centered learning environment. Outside of school, Mr. St. Jean enjoys traveling with his family and discovering new foods and restaurants.
