Viviana Mendez-Gomez is a Spanish language interpreter/translator working in the GLCPS front office as a long-term substitute. She joined the GLCPS staff in 2023. Ms. Mendez-Gomez earned an Associate’s degree in General Health Studies at Bristol Community College as well as a Medical/Community Interpreting Certificate. She previously worked as a Direct Service Assistant at the Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) providing resources to the community, guidance and information sharing, and interpretation/translation services. She also worked as a teller at a credit union ensuring transactions were processed and proper documentation completed while providing interpretation/translation services to members. She has volunteered for the Guatemalan Festival organized by the CEDC. Ms Mendez-Gomez loves to travel to new places. She also loves coffee and dancing.
