Jacob Girard joined the GLCPS team in 2023 as a first-year teacher. He will teach Algebra 1 and Physical Education. Mr. Girard earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UMass Dartmouth and is pursuing his Master’s degree in Physical Education. For the past ten years, he has coached volleyball, including the past four years as 1st assistant to both men’s and women’s volleyball teams at Emerson College. His coach culture development and positive relationship building skills will serve him well as a teacher at GLCPS. In his spare time, Mr. Girard enjoys playing in 2v2 beach volleyball tournaments throughout New England, attending concerts and is learning to play keyboard.
