Enrollment Applications Now Available for 2017-18 School Year

the school's main campus at 190 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, or here. Proof of New Bedford residency, such as a driver's license or utility bill, is required as part of the application process.

Students must have a completed application to be entered in the lottery for the opportunity to attend GLCPS. Prospective students, even those who have a sibling attending the school, must complete a 2017-18 application to be entered into the enrollment lottery. Also, students currently on the waitlist can not be included in the lottery unless they complete a 2017-18 application.

Prospective students and families are invited to attend scheduled tours with staff and student ambassadors. Tours are scheduled on the following dates:

January 19, 2017 at 3: 30 PM
January 26, 2017 at 6:00 PM
January 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM (coffee hour and tour)

GLCPS is holding an Open House for prospective students and their families to gather information about the school's curriculum and culture, visit classrooms, view current student work, and learn about after-school programs. The Open House is Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 6:00 PM. (Snow date is Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 6:00 PM.)

The GLCPS Winter Arts Show will be held in conjunction with the Open House so that prospective students and families can meet and speak with current students and parents, view a performance by the Global Karate Academy, GLCPS band, and other student demonstrations.

The enrollment application deadline is February 28, 2017. The enrollment lottery is March 9, 2017 at 6:00 PM.

Open to New Bedford residents, GLCPS is a tuition-free public charter school that serves 500 students in grades 5-12. GLCPS offers a small, personalized, college preparatory learning environment in which students are encouraged to realize their full potential, both academically and personally.
