Stacy Walsh joined GLCPS in 2017. Her background and worldview make her a great addition to the GLCPS family.
After graduating from the University of Vermont, where she majored in Asian Studies and minored in Chinese, Ms. Walsh moved to Shenzhen, China where she taught for 2 years. She returned to Vermont to complete her Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MATESOL). During that time, she taught adult refugees in Westfield, MA. Ms. Walsh has conducted significant research on the relationship between mental health issues and teaching English to speakers of other languages. She continues to pursue this interest and others independently and with the help of her GLCPS colleagues through professional development opportunities.
Ms. Walsh describes herself as a common-sensical teacher, truly motivated by the needs and interests of her students and the greater learning community.
