Ashley Burnett is an Earth Science teacher at Global Learning Charter Public School. Ms. Burnett joined the team at GLCPS in 2015 as a middle school science teacher. The following year she began teaching science at the high school. She is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, ME with a Bachelor's degree in Marine Science with a minor in Marine Biology. She earned her Master's of Arts in Teaching from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Ms. Burnett enjoys working with students to see their full potential and experience real science within the classroom. Using Project and Place based learning, Ms. Burnett engages students in scientific thought and exploration. In Ms. Burnett's classes, she uses technology and advanced science equipment to encourage students to collect and approach data in an interest catching way. Outside of school, Ms. Burnett enjoys fishing, playing with her dog Joey, and spending time with her family.
