Service Learning in Costa Rica

I went on a service learning trip to Costa Rica as the first cohort of students representing the National Society of Leadership and Success in their partnership with True Nature Education. I met twenty five other students from around the United States and we worked at a wildlife sanctuary; a wellness and nutrition center where we donated supplies, painted the exterior of the building, painted a mural on the front of the building and installed a new playground; we participated in a reforestation project where we planted an additional 100 trees in the rainforest; and we also visited one of the elementary schools in a rural village we also donated supplies.
