Matt Durant joined the staff at GLCPS in 2019 as a paraprofessional. A graduate of Westfield State University, he worked as a Resident's Assistant while earning his Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in writing, and a minor in Film Studies. He builds connections with his students by finding common interests in movies, literature and other art forms. 

Mr. Durant has written a novel that he hopes to one day see published. Prior to joining the GLCPS family, Mr. Durant worked as a substitute teacher for two years, and completed an internship with EforAll, an organization that promotes and support entrepreneurs.
