Ron Melbourne

Ron Melbourne owns and manages Membrane Concepts, a custom pool lining business based in New Bedford. Membrane Concepts has installed linings at the White House, the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and at many prestigious hotels and sports clubs throughout the country.  Prior to this, Mr. Melbourne spent several years as a business consultant and intermediary.  After serving in different management roles for several Fortune 500 firms for over twelve years, Mr. Melbourne acquired his own retail and property management business which he successfully ran for seven years before divesting in 2006.

A graduate of Ohio State University, Mr. Melbourne went on to earn an MBA with Distinction from Bentley University in Waltham. He is very active in Rotary International, having served as club president in New Bedford, and as assistant governor for the Southcoast region. Mr. Melbourne resides in New Bedford with his two daughters, one a GLCPS student, the other a GLCPS graduate.
