can taste a variety of different foods donated by area restaurants and businesses. This event is free and open to the community.

Guests will be able to take a 'world tour' through the school with various countries and cultures represented. The event will feature food, entertainment and acknowledgement of the tapestry of cultures present in New Bedford and the world. Students and families are designing and creating exciting displays for the “global region” of their choice.

"When the Global Learning Charter Public School first opened its doors, no one could have expected the impact of world cultures on today’s youth," said Adonis Ferreira, Director of Student, Family and Community Life. "The school was so named to highlight the goal of educating for global citizenship and we will be celebrating the teaching of global competencies with this Cultural Bazaar."

This is a very popular event at the school for our students and their families," said GLCPS Principal Lena Pires. "They really enjoy sharing the riches of their culture."
