Parent-Driven, Child-Focused

We are inviting charter school parents and other allies from across the state to show Beacon Hill that it is time to improve public education for all children.

Ready to join a call to action?   If you think it is unfair that some communities in Massachusetts have great schools while others don't, please join us.  Parents in low income communities deserve to be heard when they say that another generation of children can't be left waiting in line - we need to have more great charter and district schools now!

PLEASE JOIN US!

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th 9:30 A.M- 12:00pm

Gardner Auditorium • MA State House • Boston

On October 13th, members of the Joint Committee on Education will listen to testimony on a number of bills related to charter public schools – both for and against.  Lifting the cap on charter public schools does not have to come at the expense of students in district schools.   Join other charter parents and allies from communities across Massachusetts who believe that charter public schools are part of the solution when it comes to offering parents high quality options!

JOIN US ON OCTOBER 13:

We are looking for parents like YOU who believe that all of our children deserve access to great educational opportunities despite race, zip code, class, nationality, and family/community hardships!   Please join advocates for charter public schools at a special hearing of the Joint Committee on Education in Gardner Auditorium at the Massachusetts State House.

Departure from GLCPS: 7:30 AM

Return to GLCPS: 1:30 PM

Bus transportation and lunch will be provided.

Please call Cyndi Colson to RSVP by Monday, October 5, 2016.
